I live in Pittsburgh and played in the amateur tour last year, had problems with my left knee (was hit with a golf ball), I can play some of the courses if you need a playing partner for practice rounds. I can probably give you some good pointers about many of the courses in this area. Frank
Hey that's great that they added the Harrisbugh area to the tour, I believe it was only Pittsburgh in Pa. last year. I normally won't travel further east than Altoona to play golf in Pa. I have traveled up to Ottawa a couple of times to play in events but that's one long drive! Good luck on the Am. Tour, I hope you get to meet a lot of really nice guys that have a lot of game. Frank
The American Legion Country Club in Mt. Union has the oldest par 6 in Pa. The score card is flip flopped front nine for back. With the Agusta like altitude changes and not being marked clearly I missed an eagle putt I thought was for birdie. The par five 9th is as high as it is long same with the par four 11th. The par 6 is wicked long. The course needs TLC but the Sherman Tank at the bottom of #11 is a must see.
