I see that you have played a lot of 9 holes rounds lately. 9 holes are not used for handicap calculations but maybe you played only 9 holes on an 18 hole course? I'll check that this is handled properly.
Yes, I have played more 9 holes lately than 18. But I have set up the 9 holes as 9 holes (ie I create a frt 9 or a back 9) and input scores as such. I see I can still see the course handicap if I choose 5 of the 18 holers and I guess that would give me a number.
After spending some time looking at the code that calculates the handicap and convincing myself that the code was working well, I finally started thinking outside the box and looked for the problem elsewhere. In your case and Judy's, the problem turned out to be that the wrong gender was set in your profile. The gender was male when you had entered only rounds from the female teebox. When the handicap calculations were made, the database selected rounds recorded that matched you profile gender. It didn't find any and the handicap was 0.0 a.k.a not computed. I changed the gender in your profile and all of a sudden your handicap index came back!
Thanks so much for digging into my problem and solving it!! I'd love to be a 0.0 but I'm also extremely happy to get my 16.1 index back again!! Well done!!
Thanks for making the adjustment. I now know my Handicap again and have a goal to reduce it as much as possible this year. I really appreciate this site. Not only does it double check what my club here in Mexico is doing but it is interesting and informative to read the forum.

hmm what's up. I have been at 21.6 for the longest time, now I see I'm down to a 9.3?
9 holes?

Looks like something's wrong
Judy, it looks like you should indeed get a different handicap. We will have a look into this.
0.0 Handicap
I have the same problem Judy has. Could you take a look at me, too?
Thanks!

i just want to establish a handicap for weekend golf, nothing by the books or official. can you do that for me?
The site will do it on its own
Just enter your rounds and the handicap index will be calculated automtically for you
Handicap on 9-hole courses?
Is there any way to calculate my handicap if I golf mainly on 9-hole courses?
Not yet
Unfortunately we do not handle 9 hole handicap yet. We will at some point.
