Hilton Head

Hi gmac,

I live right next door to Hilton Head National and have played all the courses you listed. In fact I just played Harbor Town last Saturday and let me tell you it is sweet. My tip for it is to not try to conquer this course, but just take what it gives you and be happy. Putting your ball in the right place is much more important then distance even if you have to play for bogey on some of the holes. It is quite narrow in many places and requires many steady tee shots. Just make sure you stay right of the hole on 17, and right of the hole on 18. As for Daufuskie, make sure you have your wind game ready because it can really blow over their. Bloody is nice but much more forgiving then Melrose. Wait till you play 16, 17, and 18 on Melrose. You will really be living after these 3 holes on the Ocean. Out of all of the tips I could give you, the main one would be to practice your chipping and putting. Their are many small greens and with the wind many timnes you will be close to the green but not on and this will help you to really give it to your buddies. And remember "Have fun, that's what is all about".
