Hi All,
When i search the database and Add a course to "MY Courses", and then change the settings (Distances, Tee Blockes, rating slop, name etc).... Do the changes get updated to the database course i originally used as a template? or is it only adjusted for "My Courses"?
Way back when...
It used to be submitted changes to the course were reviewed and then changed in the database. I updated tee lengths for a course I played a month ago (which had none, interestingly) and the changes have not hit the database yet.
On the same line, I've seen exactly zero of the people who were most into the changes when mygolfrecord morphed into this posting since I've come back...so if there are reviews to be made I don't know who would make them. I think Ken used to do everything.
Now automatic
It has changed now and the system is automatic. When you make changes to a course information, it creates your own private course in our course database. This private course overrides the default for the user that created it and all rounds will use the private course info. This was done to allow for changes to a course over time. If we changed the main database entry, this would change the statistics of every round that was played on the course, even rounds played before the course was altered. Now if there are MISTAKES on the course information, then you should send a request for the information to be changed, stating the course name, address with state/province and country, and where the correct information can be found. Ken or I will then update the common database.
I hope that made sense...

Okay, but!
When I look at the full listing of 'my rounds', the course I corrected still has 0's across the top for yardages and par, and it appears as though I've done no better than triple bogey on any hole. Looking at this round individually shows me all the correct information. So, I guess I should submit it to you then because the lack of par is clearly a mistake...
Absolutely
