Lob Wedge

I recently purchased a lob wedge and I am very unsure of the club.  I am able to hut my Pitching Wedge pretty good from 150 yard in.  I was wondering what is a good distance to switch to the lob wedge and what are the advantages of using it over the pitching wedge?

lob wedge

The lob wedge is actually used more for very short shots...Example would be for me: I hit my wedge about 90 to 105 yards...I use a  " gap" wedge for 70 to 85 range. Then the lob is used for shorter high lobs, ranging from 10 to 15 yards, up to 60 or 65 yards.  It's unusual for one to plan on using it beyond a relative short range...

Lob wedge full swing is generally 70 yards or less Gap is between pitch and sand.  Very hard club to perfect.
